Learning fractions can exist incredibly challenging for students. But visuals make agreement them and so much easier.

While we beloved using puddle noodles to teach fractions, paper plate fractions are another great culling. We found this array of colorful paper plates on Amazon , giving us several different colors in a single lodge. Then it was easy to cut them upwards to represent different measurements.   • Paper plates (Nosotros like this colorful array,  bachelor on Amazon)
  • Marker
  • Scissors

Organize your plates.

Before you start labeling or cutting, you'll desire to get organized. Lay your plates out and figure out how you want to use each color. For older students, you tin create a single principal gear up of fraction plates and let them work independently. Then you'll desire to clearly label each color by the measurement.
